All of a sudden, our motorbike stopped working as a result of a broken fuel line and we found that we were in the middle of a deserted road with no people in sight. As the minutes dragged on and on with no cars passing by,panic started to set in.But we knew despair wouldn't help us get out of this mess. Gathering our courage,we all agreed to take turns to push the motorbike back towards the town we had passed earlier.Since we didn't have a map and were unsure about how far the town in our intended direction was, this seemed to be our best option. It was challenging to push in that heat, our clothes sticking to us and dust getting everywhere. Our feet were killing us too.As we continued pushing the motorbike under the sun,the weight of the motorbike seemed to increase with each step. The dusty road stretched endlessly before us,disappearing into the horizon ()We had no choice but to hope that the town was not too far away.We encouraged one another with words of support and occasional laughter to lighten the mood. However,as time ticked by,it became obvious that this joumey would test not only our physical strength but also our mental endurance.Doubts began to creep into our minds-what if there were no towns nearby? What if we ended up going in circles? 英语第9页(共10页) stwheerebuthopedtrion ▲ ▲ Ase the repair shop ino,the trckdrverroy offered hm. It was truly a night worthy to be remembered. The concert staged by our school’s music club was absolutely amazing, featuring performances of traditional Chinese instruments, Western classical music, and a chorus show. The most impressive part was the refreshing performance of Butterfly Lovers, which combined both Chinese and Western musical elements. The audience was completely immersed in the music, and the applause was deafening. I was deeply impressed by the unique charm brought by different cultural backgrounds in music. I hope you can attend our next concert too! Yours sincerely, Li Hua 第二节(满分25分) One possible version: Just when we were about to lose hope, an old dusty truck appeared on the horizon. A wave of relief washed over me when it stopped next to us. After we explained our situation with gestures to the truck driver, he rearranged items at the back of the truck for our motorbike. We squeezed into the truck and headed towards the nearest town. The ride was a bit rough, but it was filled with joy as we exchanged smiles with the kind-hearted driver. Upon arrival in town, he guided us to a small repair shop, where a skilled mechanic worked for nearly two hours until our motorbike worked smoothly again. As we left the repair shop in town, the truck driver refused to accept the money I offered him. He made it clear through his gestures that he did not expect anything in return for helping us out. To convey my heartfelt gratitude, I pressed my hands together and bowed deeply in the Lao gesture of blessing. His eyes gleamed with joy as we bid farewell. From that day on, this motorbike has often reminded me that even in tough and uncertain times, there are always moments of unexpected kindness just waiting to be discovered. 听力原文 Text 1 M: Lily, I couldn’t find you anywhere this morning. Where were you? W: I went to the library to find some information about Chinese festivals. It’s my turn to deliver a speech next Monday. Text 2 M: You cough a lot. Are you sure you’re okay? W: Don’t worry. It’s just the flu. I’ve already taken the pills. M: Take a day off and go home. Leave these files to me. I’ll help you get them finished and hand it in to the director. Text 3 W: My first class starts at 9:00 am. It’s a two-hour lecture, so I can meet you after that. M: OK, but hurry, because I have a lesson at 1:00 pm. Text 4 W: Mr. Johnson, I’m Nancy from Morgan Financial. I’m calling to confirm your job interview on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. M: Sorry about the confusion! I’m returning from overseas at the end of the week. I mentioned this last time. I hope you understand. Text 5 W: So we need a place for our office. What about moving to the town center? M: Well, it is a good place. It’s near some good roads. However, the buildings in the town center are very old. They are cold in winter and hot in summer. Text 6 W: Frank. I’ve brought you some cookies ... Hey! What are you feeding my parrot? M: Relax. It’s just a grape. W: Oh, grape is fine. Last time my brother Timmy tried to feed him chocolate, and I was scared to death. M: Don’t worry. I know what a parrot can eat and what he can’t. W: OK. Anyway, come to my study and let’s finish our homework together. We must lose no time to work on it. M: OK. Geez! You sound just like Mrs. Lee. Text 7 M: Emily, how cool your mountain bicycle is! Did you exchange your guitar for it at the flea market? W: No. My father bought it in an online store and sent it to me on my birthday last month. And I have been cycling with my friends for some days. M: How often do you go cycling? W: Every Saturday and Sunday. Are you free this weekend? M: I haven’t got any plans yet. W: Why not go cycling with us? We always share our favorite routes, health tips or arrange meet-ups with others on lifestyle and fashion opinion-sharing platform. I think you will rediscover the joys of cycling. M: Sounds interesting. I’d love to. But I have to buy a mountain bicycle first. Text 8 M: Linda, our holiday is starting tomorrow. How should we spend it? W: International Museum Day is being celebrated in our local museums. Does the idea of going there grab you? M: Of course. But I’d like to stay at home to have a good rest tomorrow. After that, we can spend the rest two days visiting some museums. W: That’s fine with me. What museum do you want to go to? M: I’m always interested in dinosaurs, so I’d like to go to the Museum of Natural History. W: Great. It displays different dinosaur fossils there. M: That’s our first stop. Which is the second one? W: Let’s go to the Folk Art Museum. There is a wood carving exhibition. I like that, you know. M: OK. Let me get to the website to book our tickets. Text 9 M: Hey! What are you watching on TikTok? W: A video made by an Australian man. He speaks either in English or in Chinese. His words make me laugh all the time. The video is so hot that it is liked by millions of people. M: Really? What does he say? W: He works as an English teacher in China. He has lived here for over ten years. When he returns to his hometown, he finds life is difficult. He misses China a lot. M: Why is that? W: He has got used to Chinese lifestyle. It is inconvenient in Australia. If he doesn’t drive in China, he can ride a bike, take a bus or take the subway. He can get anywhere easily. However, in Australia, it is necessary to own a private car. This is the main problem. M: That’s true. Anything else? W: The weather is quite different, too. Besides, when he is hungry at night, he can order takeout food. But in Australia, he has to go to the supermarket. Usually, it is very far. M: Wow! I think we are lucky to live in China. W: Of course. Well, we’d better finish the rest of the work early. Text 10 Good evening. I’m here to talk about my job as a photographer. When I left school, I got a job in a bank but I didn’t enjoy it, so I decided to travel around Africa. I took a camera with me and it was during that trip that I decided to change my job and become a photographer. That was my first trip abroad. Everyone thought I’d come home and get another job in a bank but instead I started to organize a second trip, this time to Asia. I spent two years in Asia. Once I traveled by bus from the north of India to Delhi. It’s usually a 15-hour journey. But there were storms, so the journey took 43 hours. But because we spent such a lot of time waiting, I could get out of the bus and I took some wonderful photos. So in fact, I was really glad that the journey took much longer than normal. Sometimes you just can’t get the picture you want. Once I waited for three days in the mountains in Nepal for a photo. There’s a place people go to watch the sunrise and I went there to photograph it but it was cloudy and I never saw the sun. I’ve just come back from my sixth trip to China. I’m going to show you some photos I took there and others of India. ( 高 二 英语答案第 1 页(共 4 页) ) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
