Now he is studying for his master’s degree at Henan University of Chinese Medicine. As he thought some diseases can’t be treated thoroughly with Western medicine, he decided to research into TCM. Hans came to Central China’s Henan Province in 2015, where a rich TCM culture can be enjoyed because Henan Province is the hometown of Zhang Zhongjing, the medical master of ancient China. After one year of learning the Chinese language, he started to learn Chinese medicine. Hans thought TCM is one of the best-preserved aspects of Chinese culture. He hopes to solve problems and understand Chinese culture deeply by learning TCM. Without a language barrier, Hans read some of the ancient Chinese medical classics, such as Huangdi Neijing and Yi Jing. He believes different aspects of traditional Chinese culture interact with each other. Studying TCM also changed Hans’ mind and lifestyle. He used to be addicted to electronic devices and stay up late every night, trapped in this fast-paced but unhealthy daily routine. But now, according to the Yin-Yang theory in TCM, he lives a balanced and peaceful life, practicing good habits such as drinking tea and meditating, as well as reading ancient books. Hans also uses what he has learned to help his family. Previously, acupuncture tools and Chinese medicine were necessities when he went back to his home in Germany. With acupuncture and Chinese-style massages, various physical disorders of his family have been well-treated. Now, he always provides his family members with some advice about staying fit after he checks their skin or tongues online. Over time, his family gradually began to understand his passion for TCM. He plans to run a traditional Chinese clinic in China or Germany after graduation, which could serve as a bridge between the two countries and publicize TCM and its culture. 24. What attracted Hans to Henan Province to study TCM? A. Its rich TCM culture. B. Its unique language. C. Its beautiful scenery. D. Its famous university. 25. What makes it possible for Hans to read ancient Chinese medical classics? A. His family’s support. B. His financial situation. C. His language learning. D. His previous experience. 26. How has studying TCM affected Hans? A. He has made a big fortune. B. He has known many medical experts. C. He has set up a clinic in Germany. D. He has developed a healthy lifestyle. 27. Which of the following best describes Hans? A. Ambitious. B. Brave. C. Humorous. D. Good-mannered. C The tea that has delighted and fascinated the world for thousands of years has finally received top-level global recognition as a shared cultural treasure of mankind. China’s traditional tea-making was added on Tuesday to the intangible cultural heritage list of UNESCO. The traditional tea processing techniques and associated social practices in China consist of knowledge, skills and practices concerning the management of tea plantations, picking of tea leaves, manual(手工的)processing, drinking and sharing of tea. Since ancient times, Chinese people have been planting, picking, making and drinking tea. Tea producers have developed six categories of tea: green, yellow, dark, white, oolong and black teas. Together with reprocessed teas, such as flower-scented teas, there are over 2, 000 tea products in China. Tea-related customs are not only found across the country, but also influence the rest of the world through the ancient Silk Road and trade routes. Tea is ubiquitous in Chinese people’s daily life, as steeped(浸泡)or boiled tea is served in families, workplaces, tea houses, restaurants and temples, etc. It is also an important part of socialization and ceremonies such as weddings and sacrifices. The practice of greeting guests and building relationships within families and among neighbors through tea- related activities is common to multiple ethnic groups, providing a sense of shared identity and continuity for the communities. In China, 44 registered national-level intangible cultural heritage entries are related to tea. There are over 40 vocational colleges and 80 universities that have set up majors in tea science or tea culture, resulting in over 3,000 graduates specializing in tea production and art every year, according to the ministry. China now has 43 items on the intangible cultural heritage list, continuing to be the most enlisted country in the world. 28.What can be learnt from the passage? A.Chinese producers developed 44 categories of tea. B.Tea is quite popular with people all over the country. C.More than 2,000 tea products could be found in China. D.There’ re about 300 graduates specializing in tea production every year. 29.What does the underlined word “ubiquitous” probably mean? A.rare B.common C.temporary D.available 30.How does the author emphasize the promotion of tea culture in Paragraph 4? A.By listing figures. B.By making definitions. C.By giving examples. D.By making comparisons. 31.In which kind of book may this text appear? A.A textbook. B.A travel journal. C.A story book. D.A cultural magazine. D I’m a layperson(外行人) with a love of science who occasionally reads science magazines. My approach was from an author’s angle, spending months on research before writing a single word for Pig Heart Boy. So where did I get the idea? Whenever I attend a school event, that question is asked. The answer is simple. Back in the mid 1990s, I read a newspaper article written by a doctor who guessed that we would eventually have to turn to xenotransplantation( 异种器 官移植) as a possible solution to the lack of human organ donors. It left my mind filled with questions. What are the consequences? Do we really have the right to treat animals as mere organ sources for humans? So I headed to my nearest bookshop and bought all the books I could on heart transplants in particular. I’ve found questions are one of the best places to start from when writing a novel. In my story Cameron, who needs a heart transplant, knows he is unlikely to see his next birthday unless he receives one, but he is a long way down the waiting list. When a genetically modified (GM) pig’s heart is offered by a pioneering doctor, Cameron decides to go for it —and his new heart completely changes his life in unexpected ways. Now some people think that the subject matter is not suitable for children, criticizing the cruel and inhuman ways of xenotransplantation. I completely disagree. As a children’s author, it never ceases to amaze me how some adults underestimate what subject matter will interest and stimulate children. I wanted to write a story that provided no right or wrong answers, a story that would allow the reader to walk in Cameron’s shoes for a while and think about what decisions they would make and how they would react if they too were faced with his situation. Fictional stories that explore new ideas when it comes to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects also have a part to play in enriching our children’s reading and learning. Various studies have shown that reading fiction enhances our children’s ability to grasp new concepts. Pig Heart Boy was my attempt to incorporate science possible into a believable, thought-provoking (令人深思的) story. 32. Where did the author get inspiration from to write Pig Hear t Boy? A. A school event. B. A news item. C. Science magazines. D. Books on heart transplants. 33. What might be a major concern of those who disagree with Pig Heart Boy? A. Animal rights. B. GM technology. C. Organ transplant risks. D. Organ shortage crisis. 34. What are the last two paragraphs of the text mainly about? A. Ways of tapping children ‘s intelligence. B. Potential application of fictional stories. C. Supporting evidence for justifying the book. D. Influence of fictional stories on STEM subjects. 35. What is Pig Heart Boy? A. An author profile. B. A science fiction novel. C. A guidebook to xenotransplantation. D. An essay on writing children’s literature. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Most people believe that the human brain is set on “automatic” (自动运行的) — that means it learns all by itself. But this isn’t always true. We need to train ourselves to be better learners — to actively take part in the learning process and to reflect on what we have learnt. These kinds of learning behaviours are called “active learning”. ____36____. ●Listen to the outer voice There are two kinds of voices: the inner voice and the outer voice. ____37____, while the outer voice tells you about views from what you hear or read. Although your inner voice can be useful, it can also get in the way of learning. If you keep paying too much attention to it, you risk missing important information. ____38____ If you find your inner voice difficult to control, you can argue with it as most active learners do. When your inner voice tells you a speaker/ writer is wrong, think about why the speaker / writer may be right. Be flexible in your opinions and you might end up agreeing with the speaker/ writer after all. If not, at least you have “listened to” another point of view. ●Ask questions Asking questions is the easiest way to promote active learning. When you get information from someone, from books or the Internet, ask two, three, even five questions about the topic. ____39____. And the very act of working out questions will help you to achieve a higher level of understanding about the topic. In short: Do not stop being curious. ●Get to the truth Active learners do not accept everything they learn. ____40____. Even when an idea sounds entirely unlikely, there may be aspect of it is based on truth. So if someone says that dinosaurs still exist today, think about why they believe this? If you try to find out the source of an idea, no matter how crazy it seems, you’ll increase your chance of learning something. A. Argue with your inner voice B. Focus on the message C. I suggest doing four things to take an active role in your learning. D. That is the truth that we cannot help disliking some people. E. They attempt to find the truth at the heart of each idea. See Alan W. to claim.” Al’s email reminded me of an incident that occurred on Christmas 40 years ago. Before heading out for Christmas shopping that evening, I had withdrawn $400 from the bank, foolishly stuffing eight fifty dollar bills in my front trousers pocket. On my way to Oakbrook Shopping Center, I stopped at SportMart to look at skiing equipment for my son. Returning to the car, I discovered the bills were gone. This was $400 in 1983—a huge sum of money! Feeling terrible, I turned my pockets inside out, thinking how I could have been so careless! I turned on my car headlights and desperately looked for the bills in the snow covering the parking area, but found nothing. This was the Chicago area. It was said that people in neighborhoods were not in the habit of turning in cash they found. At the thought of this, I was so sad. With low expectations, I returned to SportMart and started telling my awful tale to the store manager. Hearing I’d lost cash, he interrupted, stating he needed to page(呼叫 ) the store quickly. Someone had earlier reported finding money. The customer wouldn’t say how much or leave the money with the manager, but left his name. The manager was concerned he may have left. I stopped breathing as the page broadcast. Minutes passed, and I was about to give up hope when a man and a boy approached the manager. The manager pointed them in my direction. He was in his mid-thirties, with dark hair, a winter jacket, and a son about 10 or 12. He smiled, “The manager tells me you lost some money. Can you describe the amount and denominations(面额)?” 注意: 1. 续写词数应为 150 左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I told him I’d lost $400, eight fifties. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ They left before I could ask them their names. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ( 1 ) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 高二英语试题答案 第一部分:听力(共20小题,每小题1.5分,满分30分) 1-5 CBCBB 6-10 ACBAA 11-15 CBABA 16-20 CCBAC 21.D 22.B 23.A 【答案】24. Everyone is welcome to attend the lecture. The lecture is believed to be meaningful and practical because you will get to know potential safety problems and how to avoid them on campus. For example, be careful when you go up and down stairs, which is very important when students are crowded. In addition, pay attention to accidental injuries in PE class. I think you will benefit from the lecture. If you are interested in the lecture, please enter the school hall ahead of time and keep quiet during the lecture. Students’ Union 第二节(满分25分) 【答案】I told him I’d lost $400, eight fifties. “That’s good enough for us,” he said, reached into his pocket and pulled out the roll of bills. Touching the bills carrying the father’s body temperature, I felt waves of warmth on this cold night. I took out two bills and tried to hand them to his son, but his son shook his head. “You wouldn’t want to ruin Christmas for me and my son, would you? They are yours, and my son and I won’t take them,” the father said. They left before I could ask them their names. This is the most regrettable thing for me. I was too excited at the time and just kept thanking them without asking their names in a timely manner. However, while I don’t have their names, I’ll never forget the Christmas gift from the two total strangers. Who said that in the Chicago area, people didn’t return money when they found it? In fact, there are many honest and kind people around us. Al’s email has also proved this point. 1 A B C 2 A B C 3 A B C 4 A B C 5 A B C 6 A B C 7 A B C 8 A B C 9 A B C 10 A B C 11 A B C 12 A B C 13 A B C 14 A B C 15 A B C 16 A B C 17 A B C 18 A B C 19 A B C 20 A B C 21 A B C D 22 A B C D 23 A B C D 24 A B C D 25 A B C D 26 A B C D 27 A B C D 28 A B C D 29 A B C D 30 A B C D 31 A B C D 32 A B C D 33 A B C D 34 A B C D 35 A B C D 36 A B C D E F G 37 A B C D E F G 38 A B C D E F G 39 A B C D E F G 40 A B C D E F G 41 A B C D 42 A B C D 43 A B C D 44 A B C D 45 A B C D 46 A B C D 47 A B C D 48 A B C D 49 A B C D 50 A B C D 51 A B C D 52 A B C D 53 A B C D 54 A B C D 55 A B C D 一.
