Step 1 Language points
①with the help of 在……的帮助下
e.g. With the help of our English teacher, I passed the exam.

get lost 的同义短语为lose one’s way.

【难点】the same ...as 用于比较相同的事物,其中定冠词the 不可以省略,其后可接名词,代词,也可接从句。

考点一:[重点]may 的用法
考向一:表示许可或征求对方的同意,有“可以”的意思。
eg:You may go now.你现在可以走了。
May I use your computer? 我可以用一下你的电脑吗?
考向二:以may 引导的一般疑问句的回答方式。
eg:—May I smoke here?我可以在这儿抽烟吗?
—Yes ,please .是的,请抽吧。
—No ,you can’t.不,你不能。
考向三:表示猜测。
eg:You may be right.你可能是对的。

考向四:在口语中表示“许可”时,can可以代替may.,但may较can正式。
eg:Can I use your bike ,John?
May I look at your license,sir?
【易错点】:(1)当主语是第一人称时,may引导的一般疑问句的否定回答用can't或mustn’t,分别表示“不可以”和“禁止”。
(2) May I ...?在文体上比较正式,语气上比较委婉。口语中常说Can I...?
may 一般不用于反意疑问句。
考点2 动词不定式
考向一:动词不定式没有人称和数的变化,动词不定式在句中不能做谓语。不定式的基本结构是to+动词原形。其否定形式在to的前面加not.
These people dress themselves in bloody sharks suits. They tell people shark fins in order to protect them.

考向二:在英语中,有些动词后常接不定式。如:agree,decide ,fail,hope,learn,plan,prepare,want等。
有些动词即可跟不定式也可跟词的-ing形式,注意区分其含义。如:remember,forget,try等。
