1.Have students look at a portrait of Beethoven and answer the teacher's question: What do you know about Beethoven?

2.Next, the teacher will help students have a rough understanding of Beethoven by introduction of pictures and text.

Through the picture,stimulate students' interest in learning this lesson,activate students' existing background knowledge.

Pre-reaing

1.The teacher displays pictures and asks students to predict the content of this article based on the pictures and questions. And provide students with some choices to estimate what type of article this is. After the students make their choices, the teacher announces the answers and explains the characteristics of popular science literature to the students.

2.Next, the teacher will give the students a topic for discussion, and after the discussion, the teacher will present several different answers.

Predict the content of the article through the picture and the title, and enable students to understand the stylistic characteristics of the article.
