(2024·四川成都·三模)On the morning of Jan. 21st, 2023, I was taking the subway to work as usual. A quiet subway ride felt like a mini 1 from my busy life. Yet I found myself spending that 2 time browsing my endless messages on the phone.
One day, I put down my phone and started writing 3 notes to people who had contributed to a donation activity I had 4 . When I got off the train, I was in a noticeably 5 mood. When we knew that it might be Dad’s 3 birthday, the whole family decided to come together for a huge birthday celebration at the nursing home. It was a crowded party 4 all of us sitting around him.

One after another, we told stories from our hearts, while Dad listened with wet, 8 blue eyes. However, we 9 all kinds of lost details of the memories — stories about when we were little, stories about when Dad was young and stories that are shared as family 10 . (2024·陕西榆林·一模)“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things.” This 1 has stuck with me since the first time I read it. And it just makes so much 2 .
Just the other day I caught a cold, the flu made me feel so 3 and sleepy. How I wished it was a 4 already. But it was Monday. I had to go to work.
We have a care taker at work. Her name was Lucy, who usually 5 some nice lunch for us. She asked me with 6 if I was ill. After realizing that I was not okay, she was 7 me.
As this serious illness made me 8 , Lucy hurriedly went to the hospital to fetch some medicine to 9 my headache. Her kind gesture and 10 melted my heart. I mean, she didn’t have to do that but she went out of her way to 11 it for me. I felt so good, I felt loved, I felt visible and it was a huge 12 .
