A. 回答问题 (本题共5小题,每小题2分,共10分)
Should children do housework? Different people have different ideas. A few parents will say that their children are too busy with homework. Many parents ask them to do housework, but in fact few children do it.
That's a problem. Housework is good for kids. Sharing a part of housework helps children develop an awareness(意识) of the needs of others. One study found that those successful young people took part in housework tasks at the age of 3 or 4. They early shared responsibilities(责任) and it helped them develop a sense of responsibility in other areas of their lives.
Although housework helps a lot, few kids are doing much around the house. In a survey of 1,000 American adults, 82 percent of them have done normal housework when they grow up. But only 56 percent of the adults said they asked children to do housework.
What should you do to get children do housework? Accept no excuses(借口). Because sports and homework are not the reasons for not doing housework. Don't worry if you must repeat(重复) yourself again and again. Can a payment help? Maybe. But if you're trying to teach kids to share the responsibility of a home, paying them for normal housework is not the right choice.

A helper of my family
I am a good helper of my family. I always help my parents do housework at home. Every day I make the bed and help sweep the floor.
Last month, we had a big party for the Spring Festival. The nest morning, I got up when my parents were still sleeping. It was such a mess in the house. I decided to clean the house instead of waiting for my parents to clean up. I made a plan of all the things that need doing. Then I did them one by one in order. When my parents woke up, they couldn’t believe their eyes. They were so surprised at the tidy and clean house.
I think it is necessary for us to share housework. The more housework we do, the more independent we will be.
