一、判断正误型阅读理解
主题:人与自我——充实的生活 文体:记叙文 难度:★★☆☆☆
My parents were away for a whole week. They were visiting my
grandparents in a city almost 200 kilometres away. I was really excited
at the thought of being home alone and doing everything by myself. I
can cook and use the washing machine and I told my parents I would
remember to lock the door when I went out. I promised that nothing
would go wrong.
20
But something did happen! I was watching television one night when
the screen suddenly went black. When I checked, I found that the lights
did not work, either.
It was too late at night to do anything. So I waited till the morning.
Then I rang(给……打电话) my parents and asked them what to do.
My mum told me to take the electricity card to the bank and buy some
electricity. I did as my mum told me. When I got back home, I put the
card into the meter(电表) and the electricity started working again.
Although I was a bit worried during the night, especially when there
were no lights, I was happy that I could solve the problem in the end.

二、选择型阅读理解(C)
主题:人与自我——劳动实践 文体:记叙文 难度:★★★☆☆
My dad works in another city. He can't stay with us often. My mum
works hard. She takes care of me alone. Every day, when she gets home
from work, she makes dinner for me.
One day, I decided to help my mum. She's always taking care of
me. So I thought, “It's time I should do something for her. I'm 14 years
old.”
23
I decided to cook dinner for her. I don't know a lot about cooking,
but it doesn't look that difficult. Noodles are easy to cook. All I need to
do is boil(煮沸) water, then add the noodles and continue boiling.
This was how I saw my mum doing it many times.
“Today, when Mum comes home, dinner will be cooked. We will sit
down and eat some tasty noodles,” I said to myself. I was really excited
about the idea.
24
After school, I ran home quickly and started cooking. I boiled water
on the stove(炉子) and added the noodles. I was very careful. I
cooked the noodles for a long time. Just before Mum got home, I turned
off the stove. The noodles were not like the kind my mum usually
makes. They were more like soup.
25
Mum was surprised when she came home. She put the noodles in
bowls, sat with me and ate her noodles. “Mmm! These are the best
noodles in the world. You made very good noodle soup, my son.”
Hearing this, I smiled sweetly. I knew I had overcooked the noodles, but
that's not the point. The point is that Mum knew that I was trying to
help out. She said she would teach me how to cook later if I wanted.
