The words and the rhythm (节奏) express or show how people sometimes feel. When people first came to America, they began colonies (殖民地). Slave (奴隶) traders took people from their homes in Africa. The songs would include many voices. Many of the slaves also sang spiritual (宗教的) songs. They would sing these songs in worship (做礼拜). Where there is a will, there is a way
Have you heard of the saying “Where there is a will, there is a way”? It means if you are really determined to do something, however difficult it might be, you will eventually find a way to do it well. The important point is that you must have the will to achieve success.
Take me for example. Speaking English used to be difficult for me. In Grade 7, I couldn’t speak English clearly and my classmates always laughed at me. With my English teacher’s help, I made plans to improve it. I read English texts aloud for an hour every morning. I also made a foreign friend online. I talked to her twice a week. She helped me correct the way I spoke English. Day by day my spoken English improved a lot. Last month I won first prize in my school’s English Speech Contest.
This experience has taught me that nothing is too difficult as long as you make the decision to do it, just the saying goes, “Where there is a will, there is a way”.

Good morning and welcome to our programme. I'm Christ. Today I'll introduce one of the most enjoyable places to relax in the UK. It's Brighton. Most people would say that Brighton is the most fantastic city during the English summer, between late June and late August. Well, I don't think so. Because the city will be very crowded at that time. So you'd better try in April or May when the weather warms up. Then do you know how to get to Brighton from London? Every day, so many trains run from London to Brighton, and most services only take about an hour to reach Brighton. If you are driving a car from London, the best road to take is the M23. Of course, there are hourly buses running between the two cities. Buses take around two hours but are far cheaper than train travel.
