过去进行时的用法 (1) 过去进行时含义：表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作。 (2) 过去进行时的构成：was/ were doing (3) 过去进行时的句式： 肯定句：主语 + was/ were doing + … 否定句：主语 + was/ were + not doing + … 一般疑问句：Was/ Were + 主语 + doing + …？ 特殊疑问句：疑问词+ was/ were + 主语 + doing + …？ (4) 现在进行时与过去进行时的区别 时态 现在进行时 过去进行时 用法 表示现在或现阶段正在进行的动作 表示过去某个时刻或者某段时间正在进行的动作 结构 is/am/are + doing was/were + doing 例句 I am having an English class. I was having an English class. (5) 探究when 与while的区别 ①when 的用法 When my mother came in, I was sleeping. My mother came in when I was sleeping. 既可指时间点，也可指时间段，因此when引导的时间状语从句中的动词可以是瞬间性动词，也可以是延续性动词。 后接的句子可以用一般过去时或过去进行时。 引导的时间状语从句的动作和主句的动作可以同时发生，也可以先后发生。 ②while 的用法 My mother came in, while I was sleeping. While I was watching TV,my mother was cooking. 只可指时间段，因此while引导的时间状语从句中的动词必须是延续性动词。后接的句子可以用过去进行时。 引导的时间状语主句的动作在从句动作的发生的过程中。 如果主从句动词都是延续性动词且两个动作同时发生，此时时间状语从句多用while引导。 ③ 瞬间性动词和延续性动词的区别 瞬间性动词：表示不能延续的动作，发生后立即结束。 常见的有：open,die, close, finish,begin,buy, go,arrive,start,leave等。 延续性动词：表示能够延续的动作或行为状态。 常见的有：learn,work,stand,lie,stay,live,sleep,wait,read等。 (6)过去进行时标志词：at that time,at ten yesterday,at this time yesterday，when/while 引导的表示过去时间的状语从句 即时练习 1、 用所给词的适当形式填空 1.
