Warm up a. Greeting: What’s the weather like today? b. T: You can do lots of things today? Can you tell me what you can do in the library? S: I can…. (复习课文中can的句型,以及天气的词汇,为本课的新授作铺垫) II. Presentation a. T: I found a song on the computer. I want to share with you. Let’s enjoy.(通过歌曲,创设情境) b. T: What can you hear in the song? Ss: Answer. Teach the new word “season” T: There are four seasons in a year. What are they? S: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. c. T: In Dalian, what’s the weather like in spring/ summer/ autumn/ winter? S: It’s warm/ hot/ cool/ cold. d. T: What’s your favourite season?(由学生问老师最喜欢的季节,引出主功能句。)My favourite season is spring.(拓展同义句=Spring is my favourite season./ I like …the best of all.) Play chain game to practise this sentence. e. T: What’s your favourite food/ animal/ colour? S: My favourite food/ animal/ colour is…. (进行语言拓展,引伸出相类似的句型加以练习,并可以复习以前学过的关于颜色、动物、食物方面的单词,可以将同义句在此处加以练习。) III. New- teaching a. T: Look, they are our old friends, Amy, Daming, Lingling and Sam. What are their favourite seasons? Listen to the tape and try to find answers. Then match. (突出课文主线) b. Listen to the tape and repeat. Then think of the question “What can they do in spring/ summer/ autumn/ winter?” (问题中重点讲解介词in) c. Open the books and underline the sentences. Then answer the questions. (找出答案,完成表格的填写,从spring 至winter这四个季节逐一讲解语点,强调can +do)。 (a) There are flowers on the trees. 强调介词on,区分on/ in/ at. Leaf-leaves, shelf- shelves 拓展fall over, fall off The panda eats bamboo and leaves. (猜测leaves在同一句话中的不同含义,拓展leaves 的两个词性,增强了学生的学习兴趣。) (d) 强调play with的用法。 T: What can you do in winter? S: I can make a snowman/ go skiing/ go skating. (拓展学生的语言思维) d. T: How many seasons in a year? S: There are four seasons. e. Chant. What’s the weather like? T: In spring, …. Ss: It’s warm. T: In summer, …. Ss: It’s hot. T: In autumn, …. Ss: It’s cool. T: In winter, …. Ss: It’s cold. f. Oral practice. In spring, I can __________.In summer, I can __________. In autumn, I can __________. In winter, I can __________. g. Practise these four pictures in groups or choose favourite season to read. Then act it out. IV. Production a. Guessing game. Which season? Ss: Describe the seasons.
