After given $1 million, where was Henry going next? The second place I’d like to go... Tailor’s shop What will happen in the tailor’s shop after Henry shows the bank-note? Predict Read the scene and divide it into 3 parts. Divide the scene into 3 parts: Part 1 Before showing the note Part 2 While showing the note Part 3 After showing the note 1. Where does Henry go? What does he want? 2. What do the clerks show Henry at first? Why? 3. What makes the people in the store change their attitudes towards Henry? He goes to a tailor's shop. He wants new clothes. They show him ready-made clothes, because he looks poor and these clothes are cheaper. They change their attitudes after seeing the million-pound note because they think that he is rich. 4. Why would the owner be willing to wait for a long time to get paid? Perhaps he thinks that Henry will come back and buy a lot of more clothes in the future or tell his wealthy friends about the shop. Discussion Is it right to judge people by their clothes? Why or why not? Suggested Answer: No, it’s not right, for two reasons. First, everyone has dignity and should be treated with the same respect. Second, you cannot judge someone before you know all the facts about this person. Dressing well or having a lot of money doesn't mean someone is a nice person. Sometimes appearances are deceptive.
