Step 1. Warming up
1. A free talk about keeping pets.
I know someone in our class keeps(饲养) a pet.
You feed (喂食)your pet something to eat every day,right?
Do you feed your pet anything else?
Does anybody else have a pet?
2. Encourage students to sum up.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Show the students some Indefinite pronouns:
someone/somebody anyone/ anybody
no one/ nobody, everyone/ everybody
something, anything, nothing , everything
2. Work in groups to discuss the use of them.
Summary:
A. We use someone/somebody in positive sentences to refer to people.
B. We use anyone/anybody in negative sentence to refer to people. It’s the negative form of someone/somebody.
C Something, anything and nothing are used to refer things.
D. Something is used in positive sentence while anything is used in negative sentence.
E. When we are offering something or when we expect the answer to be “yes” we can use “something” in questions.

Step 3. Practice
1. Ask the students to finish the exercises on Page 98.
2. Work in groups to complete the conversation with the indefinite pronouns correctly, and then read it aloud.

1. Sum up what we have learnt in this lesson.
Step 5 Homework
1. To preview Integrated skills on Pages 99 and 100;
2. To learn to talk about how to look after your pets.
