III Teaching process:
Step 1 Warm-up
Discuss: How much do you know about table manners?
Before eating: Do not start eating first./ Wait until everyone is ready.
While eating: Do not eat with your mouth open. It’s very rude./ Do not make too much noise while eating or drinking. It’s impolite./ Do not talk with food in your mouth./ Wait for everyone to finish before you leave the table after eating.
After eating: If we remember all of these rules about table manners, the guests and hosts will feel happy and comfortable at the table.
Step 2 Pre-writing
1. Read the plan on P76 and answer the following questions.
(1) What’s the name of the talk?
(2) What’s the purpose of the talk?
(3) When and where will the talk take place?
(4) How many rules are there in the content of the talk?
