Step 1. Warming-up & Pre-reading
The teacher has students listen to the poem The Road Not Taken and discuss the questions:
1. What images come to your mind when you are listening?
2. What should we pay attention to while appreciating a poem?
Step 2. 1st Reading
1. The teacher has students read the article, analyze the structure and summarize the main idea
of each part.
2. The teacher has students find out the different forms of English poems.
Step 3. 2nd Reading
1. The teacher has students read paragraph 1 to find the two important points .
2. The teacher has students summarize the characteristics of each form of poems.
