Review and share the main idea of this passage. To recall Ss’ memories on this passage. Step 2 Presentation & Practice (35 mins) 1. Present the following language points on PPT, and ask Ss to take notes. (exercise, two thirds, on earth, fresh, salt, rise, fall, turn off....) 2. Explain the words with the pictures. 3. Expand knowledge Ss need to master in junior high. 4. Ask Ss to finish the corresponding exercises of each word and phrase, mainly including translation exercises. The examples as follows. 5. Present the following language points on PPT, and ask Ss to take notes. (at the end of..., remember not to do sth., valuable...) 6. Explain the words with the pictures and blackboard design. 7. Expand knowledge Ss need to master in junior high. And the points difficult to distinguish. 8. Ask Ss to finish the exercises on the book and correct the answers. Listen and take notes.
