Making a travel plan
Learning objectives;
In this class, you will be able to:
Language ability:learn about the elements and the features of a travel plan through listening reading speaking and writing;
Cultural awareness: have a comprehensive understanding of travelling and have confidence in hometown ;
Thinking capacity: acquire how to make a travel map ;
Learning ability: develop the ability of practical thinking.
Learning process
· Step 1 lead-in
1. Watch a video and clear the job of “a tour guide”. Ask students “What happen to them?” Encourage students to have a brief introduction about the video.
2. Create a situation and propose the task of today’s class, “Make a travel plan”.
· Step 2 Listening
Listen and complete the following exercise.
1. When are the foreign guests coming to the city?
2. How many days will the guests spend exploring the city?
3. There will be foreign guests altogether.
4. What kinds of activities the guests might like to do?

· Step 3 Reading and speaking
Read the travel plan about Shanghai on page 9. Pay attention to the tourist attractions and activities.
1. Find out what elements does this travel plan consist of?
2. Use the following expressions to describe the travel plan briefly .
Useful expressions:
①On the first/second day we should start with a visit to+地点, which would be a great way to +活动.
②After the ... visit, let’s +活动 at + 地点.
③Next, we will go to +地点 for + 活动(doing/n.).
④Finally, we are going to ....
⑤In the morning/afternoon/evening, we will go to....
