Present the core task of the class: Making a travel plan for foreign guests Step 2 Pre-listening 1.Introduce the pre-listening prediction skill: Reading instructions, exercises and notes before listening to predict the listening content 2.Show the four listening exercises, guide students to read the questions and options and predict the listening content Step 3 Listening 1.Play the listening audio for students to complete the four exercises 2.Present the tapescript, check answers with students and explain key information in the material Step 4 Travel Plan Reading & Analysis 1.Show the Shanghai travel plan in the PPT, put forward four guiding questions 2. Guide students to answer the questions about the travel plan 3. Summarize the basic elements of a travel plan with students: city name, recommended means of transport, activities, pictures, tourist attractions, time 4. They showed strong interest in making travel plans and introducing places of interest in Yongzhou. Nevertheless, some students with poor English foundations struggled to use correct words and complete sentences to introduce Yongzhou’s scenic spots fluently.
