PEP 2 Unit 3 B Let’s learn Good morning, everyone! It’s my turn to share my teaching ideas with you. My topic is PEP BOOK 2 unit3 At the zoo, part B. Let’s learn. Now, let me introduce my lesson step by step. My teaching plan is based on the New English Curriculum Standard and the whole unit teaching. There are eight parts in my presentation. Analysis of teaching material, analysis of students, teaching objectives, teaching key points and difficult points, teaching and learning strategies, teaching procedures, blackboard design and teaching reflection. I. Analysis of teaching material First, let’s focus on the teaching material. Its big topic is’ A school trip to the zoo’, it related to the theme Human and Nature, and belongs to the group of Nature and environment, environment protection. The sub theme is animals and environment protection. Based on the whole unit teaching, I divided the whole unit into five parts, today I’m going to talk about period 3 B Let’s learn. Students have learned colors in PEP Book 1 unit 2, body parts in unit 3 and animals in unit 4, so they are ready for the new lesson. Ⅱ. Analysis of the students As we know, the students are in Grade 3, they are very curious and active. They like to learn new things. They are interested in animals and like to share their ideas with others. They like to use what they learned in class to solve the problems in life , that is also in accord with the requirement of the core competence of English. But because they are too young, they are short of words and they have poor understanding ability, it’s difficult for them to express themselves freely and sometimes they feel hard to read some words or sentences.
