7B Unit 1 Dream homes   设计题目 7B Unit 1 Study skills 教学内容 The topic of this unit is “Dream homes”. In this “Study skills” period, we will learn something more about the stress in a word. In this period, the conception of the stress in a word will be introduced and students can identify stressed syllable in a word. 教学对象 The seventh grade students are not good at identifying stressed syllable in a word. They are not familiar with syllables in a word. So at the beginning, I will teach students some skills about how to identify syllables in a word quickly and correctly. 教学目标 1. To learn the stress in a word. 2. To identify stressed syllable in a word. 教学策略 1. Lead in the new lesson by a guessing game. 2. Read these words after the tape. 3. Ask some questions about students’ own homes. Play a guessing game and show five sentences. Ask students read the five words correctly and identify the stressed syllables of each word. Explain the knowledge of stress. Play the tape and ask students to read the stressed syllable of each word by clapping hands. Play the tape in Part B. Ask students to underline the stressed syllable of each word. (If necessary, the teacher can the play the tape for the second time.) Ask students to read the words in Part B aloud. Ask students to read these words aloud and finish the exercises. 1. Remember the words learned in this lesson. 2. Preview task. Review what they have learned last lesson and answer these questions.
