The Spring Festival, which falls on the first day of the lunar year, is one of the most important festivals in China and a time for family togetherness.
People celebrate the Spring Festival in various ways like setting off fireworks, posting Spring Couplets and the Chinese character “fu”. People usually have a grand family dinner on New Year's Eve and stay up the whole night. Children may get Lucky Money from the elderly.
