人教版必修一UNIT 1 TEENAGE LIFE第四课时 Discuvering Useful Structures(Improve a draft)教学设计 I．教学内容 Discovering Useful Structures : Improve a draft II．教材分析 该板块围绕活动主题"润色文稿"( Improve a draft ）展开，设计遵循"感知一发现一总结一练习一运用"的思路。先让学生利用教科书 Reading and Thinking 板块的阅读语篇中的句子辨识名词短语、形容词短语和副词短语，判断它们在句中的功能；然后通过单句练习进一步理解、巩固这三种短语；最后在主题任务中，通过语篇练习深入理解并掌握这三种短语的形式、意义和功能。 III. 课时目标 1． 学生通过观察、分析，掌握名词短语、形容词短语和副词短语的结构特征及其句法功能。 2． 学生通过运用三种短语，理解其在语义表达中的作用。 IV．教学思路 教师首先带领学生复习前面阅读语篇的内容，整理其中的一些句子，初步感知名词短语、形容词短语和副词短语的形式及功能，并进行归纳和整理，之后通过句子层面的练习内化知识。然后再利用练习册中的诗歌让学生体会这三种短语在语义表达中的独特作用。最后让学生通过改进文稿的综合语言实践，内化知识，培养能力。 V．教学过程 Activity 1: Share the email. Share your email with a partner. Ask and answer one or two questions based on the content . 设计说明：本活动利用上节课的作业开始新课，并为下一个活动做好铺垫。教师利用结对活动鼓励学生相互检查课后作业完成的情况，提示学生分享在描述他们的 challenge 、 feeling 、 solution 时用到了哪些短语，特别关注 NP 、 AdjP 和 AdvP。 Activity 2: Review The Freshman Challenge and learn about NP , AdjP , and AdvP. 1. Review the text on page 14 and answer the question " What challenge ( s ) does Adam face as a freshman ?" 2. Look at the following sentences and tell what categories the underlined phrases belong to. ●Being a freshman at senior high school is a really big challenge for Adam. ●It ' s a little confusing to choose suitable courses. He has to think very carefully and ask the school adviser for help. ●As to extra - curricular activities , he didn ' t play football well enough , but he won ' t quit and he will find a way to improve so that he can make the team. ● He has to study much harder and be responsible for a lot more. He' s a bit worried about keeping up with the other students in his advanced course. 3. Understand the features and functions of these phrases.
