Unit 1 Art Period 5 (Writing) A Notice 1 Learning aims 1.To learn some useful expressions. 2.To learn how to write a notice. 3.To cultivate their pride of Chinese culture. 通　知 从语言表达上来看,英语的通知可分为两类,即书面通知和口头通知。书面通知是书面的正式公告或布告,常常是张贴在显眼的位置,多用Notice作标志。并常写在正文上方的正中位置。口头通知用Announcement作标志,但通常省略不说。通知的正文要写明所做事情的具体时间、地点、概括性内容(多为书面通知的首句)、出席对象及有关注意事项。布置工作的通知要把工作内容和要求写清楚。 书面通知用词贴切,语句简洁,具有书面化;口头通知用词表达要注重口语化。口头通知的开头往往有称呼语,如:“Boys and girls”,“Ladies and gentlemen”,“Comrades and friends”等,或用提醒听众注意的语句,如“Attention,please!” “Your attention,please!” 等,且最好有结束语,如:“Thank you (for listening)”以示礼貌。 Lead in How to write a Notice 通知一般用于下达指示、布置工作、传达事情等。此类短文侧重于考查格式及正文时态的应用等。通知一般分为口头通知和书面通知。一般说来，无论采用哪种形式，通知都要包括时间、地点和活动内容等。 书面通知的标题 NOTICE/Notice位于首行中间，落款一般位于右下角，正文部分要重点列明时间、地点、活动内容、注意事项等。 Pre-writing Para.1 Para.2 Para.3 purpose time/place/activity(what you can enjoy/learn) significance/what to pay attention/wishes Notice Outline 一.开头点明通知的主题和目的句子 1.May I have your attention,please?I have an announcement to make. 请大家注意一下,好吗?我下个通知。 2.An exciting event is around the corner. 最近要开展一项精彩的活动。 3.In order to improve your English,the Students’ Union has decided to hold a lecture on English learning. 为了提高你的英语水平,学生会决定举办关于英语学习的讲座。 4.为了让交换生更好地了解中国文化,我们将组织一次中国文化节。 In order to make the exchange students have a better understanding of Chinese culture,we will organize a Chinese culture festival.
