状语从句 1. until 引导时间状语从句 until 意为“直到;在……之前”。表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之前,从句一般位于主句之后。 当主句的谓语动词是延续性动词时,主句常用肯定形式;当主句的谓语动词是非延续性动词时,从句常用否定形式。“not…until” 意 为 “ 直 到 … …才……”。 例: I’ll stay here until you come back. 我会待在这里,直到你回来。 He did not go to bed until he finished his homework. 他直到做完作业才睡觉。 2. so that 引导目的状语从句 so that 是连词,意为“为的是;以便”,引导目的状语从句。从句中多用can, could 等情态动词。 例: Mother got home early so that she could cook meals for us. 妈妈很早回家,为的是给我们做饭。 3. although 引导让步状语从句 although 是连词,意为“即使;尽管”,引导让步状语从句。与 though 意义一样。although/though 引导让步状语从句时,主句中不能用but, 但可以用yet, still 等。 例: Although he had only entered the contest for fun, he won first prize. 尽管他参加这次竞赛只是闹着玩而已,却赢得了一等奖。 单项选择 1.
