Predict what they will read in the travel guide. To cultivate students’ ability to predict the text according to the topic. While-reading 1. Read and check the prediction. 2. Find out the text features in travel guide. 3. Read the text again and find the location of places of interest and activities in those places. To guide students to understand the gist and details and identify text features in travel guide. Post-reading 1. Work in group: Introduce Shanghai. To cultivate students’ ability to integrate the content learned in this lesson and enhance their thinking level by encouraging them to add as much information as possible. Assignments 1.
