(一)惊讶 1．直陈式表述 在读后续写中我们可以用surprise, shock，astonishment 等词汇直接将惊讶表达出来。 ①A spark of surprise flashed his face.He was stunned there, staring at me with wide eyes. 他脸上闪过一丝惊奇。他惊得瞪大眼睛看着我。 ②The little boy was speechless with shock.He gaped at me. 小男孩惊得说不出话，目瞪口呆地看着我。 ③His eyebrows rose in absolute astonishment when he saw such a shocking scene. 当他看到这样一个令人震惊的场面时，他的眉毛扬起来伴随着巨大的惊讶。 2．描述性表述 人们惊讶时会目瞪口呆，瞠目结舌。我们可以通过描写当时的情境和动作从侧面将惊讶表现出来。 ①He straightened up and looked at me, open­mouthed. 他直起身子，张着嘴看着我。 ②The instant my teacher told me the news, my eyes straightened, and I didn't come to my sense until the teacher was gone. 当我的老师告诉我这个消息的时候，我的眼睛瞪直了，直到老师走了，我才回过神来。 ③I rubbed my eyes, watching out of the windows again to make sure whether it was true or not. 我揉了揉眼睛，再次看向窗外，以确定这是不是真的。 3．比喻性表述 在写作中我们可以用比喻来表达惊讶的情境，以使句子更加形象生动。 ①He was shocked to open his eyes and the smile on his face suddenly solidified, his mouth wide, like a bump there. 他震惊地睁大眼睛，脸上的笑容一下子凝固了，他的嘴巴张得大大的，像个木头人一样定在那里。 ②Standing frozen as ice, I was overwhelmed with astonishment. 我像冰一样杵在那，感到非常惊讶。 4．夸张性表述 我们也可以用夸张的手法来表达惊讶的程度或将惊讶想象成有形事物进行描述，并加以放大。 ①She froze in shock, unable to say a word. 她惊呆了，一句话也说不出来。 ②That loud noise scared me out of my wits. 那巨大的噪音把我吓得魂飞魄散。 ③I couldn't believe my ears, just like a thunderbolt on a sunny day.My whole body was numb in an instant. 他简直不敢相信自己的耳朵，好似晴天霹雳当头一击。我顿时全身麻木。 5．拟人式表述 我们也可以用拟人的手法来表达惊讶的情境或将惊讶拟人化，使语言更加生动。 ①My heart leaped with surprise and relief. 我的心因惊奇和宽慰而雀跃起来。 ②A moment of shock knocked him out. 一瞬间的震惊使他昏了过去。 【实战演练】 完成句子 1．她既震惊又焦虑，问我发生了什么事。 Shocked and anxious, she asked me what happened. 2．她惊讶地发现自己的名字在他们中间。 She was surprised to find her name among them. 3．埃利目瞪口呆，嘴巴张得大大的。 Elli was stunned there, with the mouth wide open． 4．看到他们进步得如此之快，真是令人惊讶。 It is amazing to see how quickly they improve. 5．我们惊讶地张大了嘴。 Our mouths dropped open in surprise． 学科网（北京）股份有限公司 $$
