Unit 6 Do you like bananas?
Section A (1a-1c)
I. Analysis of teaching material
Today’s lesson is chosen from Unit 6, Section A, 1a-1c of Go for It, 7A, published by People’s Education Press. The theme of this unit is closely related to personal preference and expression, diet and health. After learning this unit, students can distinguish between countable nouns and uncountable nouns. They can also use general questions to talk about likes and dislikes. It is conducive to help students develop good eating habits and establish a healthy eating attitude.
II. Analysis of students
Ss in Grade7 have learnt English for more than 3 years. They have accumulated some basic English knowledge. They have curiosity about English and they are willing to speak English. They can do some actions under the teacher's guidance, but they can't express their opinions in English in their daily life. Therefore, I set up a scenario ( Flint’s restaurant) and design lots of activities to improve their listening ability and oral English.
