牛津译林版 八年级下册 Unit 1 知识清单（四） Integrated skills & Study skills 【知识精讲】 1. transport：不可数名词，“交通车辆，运输工具”。 2. borrow sth. from sb.“向某人借某物”。 lend sb. sth. = lend sth to sb.“借某物给某人”。 注意：lend和borrow都是非延续性动词，不能与表示一段时间的状语连用。如果表示东西可以借多长时间，可以用keep来代替。 3. hope：v.“希望”。 hope to do sth.“希望做某事”。 hope + that从句“希望……”。 I hope so./I hope not.“但愿如此。/但愿不会。” → 没有hope sb. to do sth. 4. return：v.“返回”= come/go back；“归还”= give back。 → return是瞬间动词，不可与表示一段时间的状语连用。 → return不能与again或back连用。 return to...“返回到……”。 return sb. sth. = return sth. to sb.“归还某物给某人”。 5. last：adv.“上一次，最近”。 adj.“刚过去的，最后的”。 n.“最后来的人或发生的事情”。 vi.“持续，延续”。 6. go abroad“出国”。 at home and abroad“国内外”。 7. keep in touch with sb.“和某人保持联系”。 get/be in touch with sb.“与……保持联系”= stay in touch with sb.。 → 反义：be out of touch“失去联系”。 8. communicate with sb.“与某人交流”= have communication with sb. 9. have fun (in) doing sth.“在做某事中享受乐趣”。 → “玩得开心”：have a good/great/wonderful time = enjoy oneself。 10. 感官动词：look/sound/smell/taste/feel，后接形容词作表语。 11. get/be used to doing sth.“习惯于做某事”。 12. on one’s own“独自，独立”= by oneself = alone。 of one’s own“某人自己的”。 13. take place：“发生”（偶然发生）；“举行某种活动”。 happen to sb./sth.“（不好的事情）发生在某人身上/某物身上”。 【词义辨析】 1. borrow/lend/keep borrow：从某人或某处借来某物，非延续性动词。 lend：将自己的东西借出给某人，非延续性动词。 keep：由“保持”引申出“借”的词义，延续性动词。 2. through/across through：主要表示从物体内部穿过，如穿过森林、隧道等。 across：表示平面上的穿过，如穿过马路。 3. spend/cost/pay/take spend： Sb. spend(s) some time/money on sth.“某人在某物上花费时间/金钱”。 Sb. spend(s) some time/money doing sth.“某人花费时间/金钱做某事”。 cost：Sth cost(s) (sb.) some money“某物花费（某人）多少钱”。 pay：pay for sth.； pay sb. for sb. take：It takes sb. some time to do sth.“做某事花费某人多少时间”。 【词形转换】 1. communicate：v.“交流”。 → communication：n.“交流”。 2. own：v.“拥有”。 → owner：n.“所有人，物主”。 【短语归纳】 1. changes in Straight Town 星光城的变化 2. green hills 绿色的小山 3. clean and fresh air 干净清新的空气 4. wild birds near the lake 湖附近的野鸟 5. smaller lake 更小的湖 6. living conditions 生活条件 7. new railway station 新的火车站 8. tall buildings and new roads 高的楼房和新建的道路 9. borrow a book about Starlight Town’s past and present
