M5U1 Can you run fast?
——外研社(三年级起点)《Can you run fast?》说课
It’s my great honor to present my lesson here. Today my topic is M5 U1 Can you run fast? To make my presentation clear, I’ll describe my thoughts in the following 3 aspects:general introduction,teaching procedures and teaching reflection.
The first part of my presentation is the General introduction,which includes the following 6 parts.
1、 General Introduction
1.Text Analysis
I’d like to analyze the text from the three aspects.
What: This lesson is the first period of Module 5 Book 3 New Standard English Book.
The type of this lesson is a dialogue learning.It’s a dialogue among Amy,Sam and Daming. The topic is about using”can” to talk about one’s abilities, which belongs to the theme of people and society.It mainly talks about one’s abilities in sports.
Why:
It can also help to teach the students to express their own abilities . Every one has his own strengths.
How:
This is an easy dialogue in this module.Such a topic is related to our daily life.It can easily arouse the students’ interests.
1.1 Analysis of the whole module
As you can see from the Power Point, In Unit1,we learn to talk about our own abilities in sports by using”Can you…” and In unit2, Ms Smart asks the PE teacher what sports students are good at by using”Can somebody…”
1.2 Analysis of connection
In Grade 4,We will learn M5U1 Can you run fast?
In Grade 5, We will learn M7U1 He can’t see.
In Grade 6, We will learn M5U2 I can speak French.
In all these modules from different grades, we will learn the modal verb “can”to talk about one’s abilities.
2. Learner description
The students are in Grade 4 ,which is a critical period for them. They are curious and passionate about everything around them. They have learned English for over 1 year.They like new things. However,some of them are afraid to speak English . So teachers should encourage them t
