B1U3：Sports and Fitness阅读课教学设计 课型+课时: 阅读课第二课时 授课内容: U3 Sports and Fitness- Living Legends 教学目标： After this class, students are able to 1. think deeply and critically about Lang Ping and Michael Jordan by raising and answering questions and try to analyze and evaluate their qualities according to the information within and beyond the text; 2. practise to raise some higher-order thinking questions; 3. analyze the language, especially the figures of speech of the text; 4. summarize how to write a good biography and apply what they have learnt into later writing. 教学过程： (while-reading) Step 1 : Explore the text about Lang Ping.(13 mins) Dear students, yesterday, we discussed some basic information about Langping and Jordan. As we all know, we need to choose another living legends of sports, right? So, to finish this task better, we need to dig this passage further and deeper. So, today we are going to go on analyzing this passage. 首先小组讨论回答work sheet 上的四个问题。 利用问题链对本段落进行主题探究。教师引导学生利用结构图框架，获取、梳理和整合事例中的细节信息，建立信息间的关联。 通过复述，学生内化语言和知识。结构图提供的直观经验，以及对重点句子的推理分析，有助于学生更深刻领会郎平的团队精神和迎难而上的决心。 Step 2 : Explore the text about Michael Jordan.(13 mins) Teacher asks the students to raise some higher-order thinking questions including applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating questions, and then discuss them in groups. 每个小组各提出一个问题，教师在黑板上板书，然后小组讨论这些问题。 在学生回答到Jordan's attitude towards failure时，教师追问：What is your attitude towards failure? 对学生进行情感教育和激励。 What kind of qualities does Jordan have? 教师进一步提出问题，让学生表达自己的观点。 因为在郎平部分是教师提供的四个问题，学生来探讨，所以在乔丹这部分教师放手让学生来主动的提问题，并且教师对提出问题的类型进行了指导。让学生通过提问对本段进行主题意义探究，提升了难度，给予学生更大的发挥空间。 教师对学生回答进行追问，让学生将所学与现实生活相联系，引导其将所学应用到实际。 探究完乔丹之后，将郎平与乔进行对比。 Step 3 : Explore the language (6 mins) 引导学生关注语篇中的押头韵、夸张、排比、对比过渡等语言特色，并理解其在主题意义建构方面的作用。 (post-reading) Step 4 : Conclude and draw a mindmap (7 mins) How can we write a good biography?
