(1) Have students complete the table below. the Chinese New Year: Stay up on the Chinese New Year’s Eve; visit relatives; enjoy deliciousfood; children can get red packets. the Lantern Festival: Enjoy beautiful lanterns; eat rice balls (yuanxiao). the Qingming Festival: Sweep tombs to pay respect to the deceased. the Mid-Autumn Festival: Enjoy family reunions and the full moon; eat moon cakes. the Chongyang Festival: Climb mountains; admire beautiful chrysanthemums; show respect to senior citizens. We celebrated this festival by eating rice dumplings. We also held dragon boat races on this day. The boats had dragon heads and were very colourful.
