Good morning, everybody! How are you today? Fine! Great! I am very well. Look, what’s this? It’s a shark. What do you think of sharks? Big. Huge. Strong. Fierce. Powerful. Flexible. They eat people. To many of us, the sharks seem to be the most dangerous animal in the sea. But is it true? Let’s go to the passage and find out.
Open your books and turn to Page 62. What’s the title of the passage? Sharks: Dangerous or Endangered? Read the title and look at the picture. Can you guess which one the author may focus on, dangerous or endangered? You think the author may focus on the latter.
Now, read the passage quickly and check your predictions. The author proves that sharks are not as dangerous as people think, but they are endangered and need protection.
