Section Ⅳ　Developing ideas—Writing 写一篇说明文 本单元的写作要求写一篇具有工匠精神的人物介绍类说明文。文章除了要符合一般说明文的特点和要求外，还要符合人物介绍的要求。此类写作通常首先点明人物的工匠精神，然后通过具体事例来说明该人物的工匠精神以及他/她做出的贡献，最后作出简单的结论。 1．注意写作顺序，如时间顺序、空间顺序或逻辑顺序等。同时要注意文章的层次感和条理性，通过文章内容，能反映人物的性格特征、贡献及事迹等。 2．注意说明方法。可采取“先举例，后总结”或者“先总结，后举例”的结构模式。知识性和信息性是人物介绍类说明文的主要关注点，必要时也可发表个人主张，抒发个人情感。 3．说明文通常用第三人称，时态以一般现在时或一般过去时为主。 4．用词力求准确。说明文要求遣词用句准确、周密，不使用华丽浮夸的辞藻和含义模糊的词句。只有语言简练、用词准确，才能将人物更具体化、形象化，使该人物更易于被读者接受。 [常用表达] (一)开头部分常用表达 1．There are many respectable people around us，of whom I respect most is my physics teacher． 我们周围有许多受人尊敬的人，其中我最尊敬的人是我的物理老师。 2．As for my favorite figure in Chinese history，it must be Wei Yuan，a great thinker in the late Qing Dynasty. 谈到我在中国历史上最喜欢的人物，那一定是清末伟大的思想家魏源。 3．Deng Jiaxian is one of China's most respected outstanding scientists，who is known to the world as the founder and promoter of China's nuclear weapon cause. 邓稼先是中国最受尊敬的杰出科学家之一，他是世界公认的中国核武器事业的创始人和推动者。 4．His designs were admirable，varying from grand buildings to public works. 他的设计从宏伟的建筑到公共工程，令人钦佩。 (二)主体部分常用表达 1．He took careful notes and made models of their projects． 他认真地做笔记，并为他们的项目制作模型。 2．He crafted exquisite curves by hand． 他用手工打造精美曲线。 3．In addition to their great achievements，they showed diligence and patience． 除了辉煌的成就之外，他们还展现了勤奋和耐心。 4．They didn't seek fame and lived an indifferent life to fame and fortune． 他们不追求名利，过着淡泊名利的生活。 5．He became famous for his new craftsmanship． 他因他的新手艺而出名。 6．What impresses me most is his famous saying，“Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration．” 给我印象最深的是他的名言：“天才是百分之一的灵感加上百分之九十九的汗水。” (三)结尾部分常用表达 1．He/She is such a diligent person that we all admire/respect him/her． 他/她是一个如此勤奋的人，我们都很钦佩/尊敬他/她。 2．He/She devoted all his/her life to the work． 他/她毕生都致力于工作。 3．He/She made great contributions to his/her career． 他/她对事业做出了巨大贡献。 4．He/She was highly thought of by many people． 他/她受到很多人的高度评价。 5．From him，I realize the secret of success is efforts． 从他身上，我意识到成功的秘诀是努力。 6．Having set a great example to me，she fully deserves my respect．
