Glad to see you! I’m Cao Qianqian. It’s my great honor to stand here sharing my lesson with you! I’ve been ready to finish this lesson in 8 parts. Part 1.Analysis of the teaching material The content of this lesson is Unit3 Book1. It is about the LIVING LEGENDS. This class is the first period of this unit dealing with the reading. As we all know, reading is a kind of input during the process of language learning, which has great effect on output--- speaking and writing. So this part plays a great role in this unit. Part 2. Key competences(核心素养) 1. Language abilities (语言能力) Understanding the general meaning of the new text 2. Learning abilities (学习能力) Train the reading ability to scan for the detailed information 3. Cultural awareness（文化意识）Learn about sports and games around the world. 4. Thinking qualities(思维品质) Talk about sports events and sportsmanship. Part3. Key points and difficult points. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’ learning background, the key point is to help students get a general idea of the text. And difficult point is how the students use their own words to express their own ideas. Part 4.Teaching and learning methods. To achieve the teaching aims, I will use the following methods: Communicative approach, Task-Based language Teaching, Whole language teaching, Total situational action. Part5. Teaching Aids I need a projector and a multi-media computer system. They are for showing pictures, listening to audios or watching videos. Part6.
