Students in China always show respect and love for their teachers. The ancient story “Standing in the snow to wait for Master Cheng respectfully” is a perfect example.
In this story, two students had different ideas about a question. They went to ask a famous teacher, Master Cheng, for help. When they arrived at his house, the master was sleeping. So the students waited patiently outside the house. It was a winter’s day. The snow was falling fast, but the students waited and waited. When Master Cheng woke up, he was moved to see the two students waiting in deep snow and invited them in right away.
