We sometimes give birthday cards. 我们有时候给生日贺卡。 类似的动词还有send, sell等。如： I often send my friends emails. = I often send emails to my friends. 类似用法的词还有： give sb. sth. = give sth. to sb. “给某人某物” buy sb. sth. = buy sth. for sb. “给某人买某物” 4.
