Some children like being home alone because they think they get 1 with their parents’ orders at home, such as “ 2 the TV and go to bed.” And “Finish your homework before having dinner.” However, what should they pay attention to when they are at home alone? For kids, knowing how to stay safe is as 3 as knowing family rules. Kids who are at home alone might worry that somebody could break into the house and 4 them. The good news is that this is not likely to happen nowadays. But keeping doors and windows 5 will help you stay safe. Decide with your mom or dad what to do if the phone 6 or if someone knocks at the door. It’s never a good 7 to tell someone that you’re at home by yourself. When you get home and find the door open or a 8 broken, don’t even look inside. You can go to ask a neighbor you trust for help. Other kinds of things could happen 9 too. For example, there might be a fire, or you might get sick or hurt yourself. When these things happen, what will you do? First, you should be calm. Then you can make an emergency call, such as 119, 120 or 110. When you make the call, you should tell your name, 10 and phone number. What’s more, you can call your neighbors for help. ( ) 1.
