Section 4　Grammar—疑问词⁃ever与no matter+疑问词引导的从句 课前观察自主领悟 语法图解 观察句子 ①Whatever she did was right. ②The task must be done, however/no matter how arduous it may be. ③He will continue the work no matter what/whatever happens. ④I􀆳ll take your words, no matter how/however harsh they may be. 我的领悟 疑问词⁃ever可以引导名词性从句(句①)和让步状语从句(句②③④), no matter+疑问词只能引导让步状语从句(句②③④)。 语法课堂高效学习 一、疑问词⁃ever的用法 1.whatever有两个用法,一是引导名词性从句(如主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句),二是引导让步状语从句。 (1)用于引导名词性从句。 Whatever she said was wrong. 她说的一切都是错的。 (2)用于引导让步状语从句。 Whatever happens I must be calm. 不管发生什么情况我都要镇静。 注意　(1)whatever还可用于加强语气,相当于what ever, what on earth等。 (2)whatever从句有时可以省略。 ①What ever/What on earth/Whatever is the matter? 这到底是怎么回事? ②Whatever your argument, I shall hold to my decision. 不管你怎样争辩,我还是坚持自己的决定。 2.however是比较正式的用语,大都用于书面语,口语中较少使用。 However hard she tried, nothing seemed to work. 不管她怎么努力,好像都无济于事。 二、no matter+疑问词的用法 1.no matter what只能引导让步状语从句(不能引导名词性从句),意为“无论……”。 注意　(1)这样用的no matter what与引导状语从句的whatever用法相同,有时可互换。 (2)有时no matter what引导的从句中动词会被省略。 ①No matter what happened, he would not say a word. 不管发生什么情况,他一句话都不肯讲。 ②No matter what you do, don􀆳t touch this switch. 无论你做什么,都别碰这个按钮。 ③No matter what you say, I believe you. =Whatever you say, I believe you. 无论你说什么,我都相信你。 ④I􀆳ve decided to leave tomorrow, no matter what (happens). 不管发生什么情况,我已决定明天走。 2.no matter how则比较口语化,故常用在强调的场合。形容词都放在这三个词的后面。 I will finish the work, no matter how difficult it is. 无论这个工作多么困难,我都会完成。 3.no matter how后面一般要加句子或者词等,而however可以作副词单独使用。 He wanted to take no risks, however small. 多小的风险他也不想冒。 【小练】　完成句子 ①他到底是什么意思?
