Hi, I’m Andy. My friend Kate is from Thailand. I learn some rules in Thailand from her. Let me tell you some of them.
In Thailand, people usually take a gift(礼物) when they go to a dinner party. Here are some good dinner party gifts in Thailand.
★Some flowers ★Some home-made foods ★Some fruits
Table TalkKate gives me a book as a gift. This is a book about table rules for students from 8 to 12. The writer is Julia Cook. In this book, the table can speak like a man. He says funny words(言语) to help kids to learn table rules. I think it’s a great book.
Kate tells me many table rules in Thailand, too. Here are three of them. First, the head of a family is usually in the middle of the chairs around a table. Second, people there usually eat with a spoon(勺子) in the right hand and a fork(叉子) in the left hand. Don’t put the fork into your mouth. When you need to eat with your hand, please use the right one. Thai people think the left hand is dirty. Third, don’t be late.
These interesting rules can help me know more about Thailand. Also, they can help me a lot when I go on a trip to Thailand.
