目标一:To understand the stylistic features and formats of postcard by reading the sample essay, and write a postcard based on your own experience.
Activity 1: Read the postcard and answer the questions.
1 Who wrote the postcard and from where did she send it?
2 Who is receiving the postcard and where is she?
3 What has the writer done so far?
4 What is the writer going to do next?
How to write a postcard
Activity 2: Read the message and write a postcard to Sam. Use the expressions in the box to help you.

Activity 3: Show your postcard to the class.
目标二:To design a logo for a place, introduce the place and explain what the logo represents.
Activity 1: Work in groups. Look at the logos and decide which Chinese cities they represent. Find out what each city is best known for.
Activity 2: Choose a different place you know well and talk about why it is worth visiting. Design a logo to represent it.
Design your logo in groups.
• Choose the most famous building or feature of the place you know well;
• Try to design it with Chinese characters;
• Present it with proper color.
Activity 3: Prepare a short presentation for tourists about the place you've chosen, following the steps below.
1. Write a short introduction about why the place is worth visiting.
2. Explain what the logo represents.
3. Practise giving your presentation.
Activity 4: Give your presentation to the class, showing your logo. Use the expressions to help you.
