目标一:To review and summarize the function and structure of the -ing form.
Activity 1: Task 1 Translate the following sentences.
1.你可以想象,烧伤会导致非常严重的伤害。
2.进行急救是治疗烧伤的第一步也是最重要的一步。
3.最好将烧伤部位放在冷水下,特别是在开始的十分钟内。

Task 2 What is the function of the -ing form in each sentence above?
Task 3 Find more sentences using the -ing form from the reading passage and state their functions. And summarize the function of the -ing form.
Activity 2:
Task 1 Replace each underlined part with a suitable -ing form and rewrite the sentence as necessary. Work with a partner and summarise the different structures of the -ing form. When is each one used?
