Courses in art history and Greek and Roman history were fascinating. I was eager to do well. I arranged a meeting to discuss my essay grade and arrived 10 minutes early to meet the teacher's assistant. I was ready to argue for the brilliance of my paper. However, she quickly explained to me that the paper failed to make a strong argument. The mark remained.
