串讲03 过去完成时及被动语态 （涉及此知识点的单元：选择性必修二u3） 过去完成时：had done 过去完成时的被动语态：had been done ■语法判定 1.由时间状语来判定。过去完成时用在by+ 时间点或by the time +从句的句子。 by+过去时间点，by the end of+过去时间点，before+过去时间点 By the end of last year, another new gymnasium had been completed in Beijing. 2.由“过去的过去”来判定 ①宾语从句中：过去完成时放在主句是过去时的宾语从句中 She said that she had seen the film before. - Hurry up! Alice and Sue are waiting for you at the school gate. - Oh, I thought they had gone without me. ②状语从句中，把过去完成时用在含有when, before, after, until, as soon as等引导的时间状语从句的复合句中。 After he had finish his homework, he went to bed. When the old man started to walk back to his house, the sun had already hidden itself behind the mountain. ③表示意向的动作，如hope, wish, expect, think, intend, mean, suppose等，用过去完成时时表示“原本……，未能……”。 I had planned to send him a Christmas card, but I forgot to do so. Tom had thought of visiting his grandmother, but the bad weather made him change his mind. He had intended to make a speech but no one gave him such a chance. 3.根据上下文来判定。 ■常用句型 1.It was the first/second/third/...time that...句型中，that从句的谓语动词用过去完成时。 It was the first time she had seen him in person. They asked me to have a drink with them. I said that it was at least ten years since I had enjoyed a good drink. It was the first time that I had seen the ocean. 2.在表示“一……就……”的句型中，如no sooner...than..., hardly/scarcely/barely...when...，主句用过去完成时，从句用一般过去时。 Hardly had she gone to bed when the door bell rang. He had no sooner got to the lab than he set out to d o the experiment. 3.在by the time引导的时间状语从句中，若从句是一般过去时，则主句用过去完成时。 They had finished their dinner by the time Sam joined them. 4.表示与过去情况相反的假设，用于if从句或wish, would rather后的宾语从句中。 If he had followed my advice, he wouldn’t have lost his job. ■过去完成时与一般过去时的区别 1.时间状语不同：过去完成时在时间上强调“过去的过去”，而一般过去时只强调过去某一特定的时间。 2.强调的动作不同：过去完成时表示过去的过去，不单独使用，一般和一般过去时一起使用。 I thought I had sent the letter a week before. 3.当两个或两个以上接连发生的动作用and或but连接时，按时间顺序，需用一般过去时来代替过去完成时。 He entered the room, turned on the light and read an evening paper. 时态综合练习 ■单句填空第一
