Step 1 Lead-in
Show some pictures of different kinds of shops to students. Ask them to help Eddie know the names. Then guess the right places to buy the things.
Step 2 Presentation
T: Eddie is a bit lazy. He wants to buy all the things without walking too much. Where can he go ? S: a shopping mall.
Step 3 Read and write
Give some questions to students to find the answers when they read the notes written by Millie. Check the answers.
Step 4 Write and check the answers
Ask students to finish the article with the help of the notes. Check the answers and try to find out the phrases.
Step 5 Give the structure of the article
Tell students that we can divide the article into three parts: Introduction, Main body and conclusion
Step 6 Try to describe the pictures orally then write articles about the shopping malls
Step 7 Give the rules of giving marks and ask students to give a mark to each article
Step 8 Choose some good articles to read for all the students.
