Unit 4 Body Language : Reading for Writing Teaching objectives: 1、 To read a passage about how a teacher knows her/ his students by body language. 2、 To learn to write a passage to describe the body language of your teacher/classmate. Teaching key points and difficulties: 1、 To enhance the reading and writing skills; 2、 To figure out the structure and the language features of the text.; 3、 Enhance the reading and writing skills. 4 、strengthen thier ability of observation. Teaching process: Step1 Lead in Show some pictures and get Ss to recognize the types and use of body language in class. Eg: Two girls are talking in the class. The boy is sleeping in the class. The boy is wandering in the class. The boy is waiting for class to end. Step 2 Pre-reading: Activity1 Prediction Predict what the text talks about from the photo and the the title: From the title: The text will introduce some good ways for the teachers to know the body language happened in the calss. From the picture: It may be about stories between teachers and the students in a class. Activity2 Brainstorming Q1: As a student, what different feelings have you ever experienced in class ?
