Unit 1 What’s the matter? 课时 1 Section A (1a-2d) 课时教学目标 1. 了解不同疾病对应的症状及其相关表达。 2. 初步了解What’s the matter? 及其回答的运用。 3. 通过角色扮演练习就医时的常用表达。 教学重点： 1. Key vocabulary: matter, stomachache, foot, neck, stomach, throat, fever, lie, rest, cough, X-ray, toothache, headache, break, hurt have a cold, have a stomachache,lie down, take one’s temperature,have a fever,take break 2. Key sentences: a. What’s the matter with Judy? b. She talked too much yesterday and didn’t drink enough water. She has a very sore throat now. 教学难点： Learn to express health problems and give advice. 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in The teacher shows a picture of a little child with blanks to fill in about his/her body parts. Ask students to fill in the blanks as more as they can. Then give the answer of new words about body parts. The teacher gets the students to play a game of touching the body parts when asked and helps students to answer: “I have one nose/two ears...” Step 2 Work on 1a 1. Ask students to look at the picture to find out what body parts they are and match the picture with the word in 1a. 2. Check the answers with students.
