Exercise 6
· Direct students to the pictures. Ask them to say the rules for using this, that, these and those again. Students should say Use this with singular nouns that are close; use that for singular nouns that are not so close; use these for plural nouns that are close; and use those for plural nouns that are not so close. Say "Look at picture la. This, that, these or those?" E-licit this. Continue asking about the other pictures: 1b: that; 2a: these, 2b: those; 3a. this, 3b. that; 4a; these, 4b: those.
· Say "Now listen to the dialogues". Play the dialogues the first time, having students just listen. Then say "Listen again. Circle the correct pictures". Play the dialogues again, pausing after each if necessary.
· Go over the answers, having students first compare their answers. Then have individual students say the answers aloud.
