Seven parts will be included in my class. Part One: Analysis of the teaching materials In this class, we’ll focus on Listening and Speaking, the first important part in Book 1 Unit 3. Inviting a friend to a sports event is the topic, closely related to students’ daily life. Part two: Analysis of the students Grade One Senior One students are Curious and enthusiastic, but as for English, they’re lack of certain useful listening skills, afraid of speaking English boldly. Part three: Identifying the learning objectives Based on the analyses above, the teaching objectives are as follows. Through learning, students will be able to: 1. know more sports events. 2. use proper language to invite and respond to an invitation. 3. master some useful listening and speaking skills, such as how to catch the main idea, how to get answers according to some key words. 4. raise the awareness of taking exercise and know more about sportsmanship. Part four:Teaching key and difficult points a. Key points Help students improve students’ listening ability and spoken English. Develop students’ communicating abilities. b. Difficult points Get the correct answer through key words like stressed words and numbers. Encourage students to express themselves with what they’ve learned. Part five: Teaching Aids and Methods Blackboard and the multimedia will be used. In addition, the following methods will be included, Situational teaching method, Communicative teaching method, Audio-visual teaching method and Task-based teaching method.
