(方式状语) 他每天乘公共汽车去上班。 ② 作定语 介词短语作定语常位于被修饰词的后面。 The boy in the room is my brother. 房间里的那个男孩是我的弟弟。 ③ 作表语 介词短语可位于系动词之后作表语。 A few apples remain on the tree.树上还留有机关苹果。 My glasses are on the desk. 我的眼镜在课桌上放着。 ④ 作补足语 When he woke up, he found himself in a strange place.醒来后，他发现自己在一个陌生的地方。 You will find him at work.你会发现他在工作。 ⑤ 作独立成分 In short, he is a kind person.总之，他是一个善良的人。 As a matter of fact, I have never been to Beijing.事实上，我从来没有去过北京。 1.2 介词的分类 类别 示例 时间介词 at, about, after, before, during, by, from, for, in, on,, until, since 地点介词 across, along, at, in, on, above, under/below, besides, behind, before /in front of. between, among 原因介词 at, with, because of, for, owing to, on account of 其它介词 about关于, on关于, of ......的, with与......一起，用， without没有, like像, except除了, besides除了......之外还有, instead of而不是, but除了，from自从，despite, in spite of, regardless of等。 第二节 介词的基本用法 · 表示时间介词的用法 要点精讲1：表示时间的介词at, on, in ①at表示在某一时刻或时间点。如：at 8 a.m.。常用词组有： at dawn, at dusk, at noon, at night, at midnight, at the end of, at that time, at the moment, at Christmas, at New Year等。 ②on指具体的或特定的日子。如： on Monday, on Christmas Eve, on May Day, on a warm morning, on September 12th, on that day等。 ③in表示在某段时间内，如:年、月、日、周、季节、上午、下午等。如： in the morning/afternoon/evening, in October, in 2008, in the 21st century, in summer, in the past, in the future, in five days等。 要点精讲2：表示时间的for, since与from ①for后接时间段的名词词组，表示行为状态持续了多久。如： Mr. Brown lived in that little village for nearly thirty years. 布朗先生在那个小山村住了差不多30年。 ②since后接过去某一时间点，表示“自从……以来”，常与现在完成时、现在完成进行时连用。如： We haven’t seen each other since 2005. 自从2005年以来，我们彼此没见过面。 ③from“自……起”，可与多种时态连
