Noun Clauses 名词性从句 ·基本定义 名词性从句指的是由一个从句来充当名词的作用。名词性从句包括主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句、同位语从句。 1、主语从句 引导主语从句的词有连词that，whether；连接代词who，what，which；连接副词when，where，how，why等 Whether he will come or not doesn’t matter much. Whoever comes here will be welcome. That she was chosen made us very happy. *that引导主语从句时一般不省略。当主语从句位于句首时，常用whether引导，而不用if。 ·主语从句常用it作形式主语。如： （1） It is+名词(词组)+主语从句 It’s a pity that .... 遗憾的是…… It’s a shame that .... 真是可耻…… It’s a surprise that .... 惊讶的是…… It’s a fact that .... 事实是…… It’s no wonder that .... 不足为奇…… It’s a fact that.... 事实是…… It’s good news that.... 是好消息…… It’s an honour that.... 非常荣幸…… It’s common knowledge that .... 是常识…… （2） It is+形容词+主语从句 It’s natural that… 很自然…… It’s obvious/clear that … 显而易见…… It’s fortunate that … 幸运的是…… It’s (im)possible…（不）可能…… It’s unlikely that… 不可能…… It’s strange that…奇怪的是…… （3） It is+过去分词+主语从句 It’s not known that… ……不得而知 It’s said that… 据说…… It’s reported that… 据报道…… It’s decided that…尚未决定 It’s believed that… 据认为…… It’s announced that…据宣布…… （4） It+不及物动词+主语从句 It seems /appears that ... 似乎… It happens that... 碰巧… It occurs to sb that... 某人突然想起… It turns out that…结果…… It doesn't matter + that/whether/wh- ... ...不重要。 （5） 其他 It doesn’t matter … 是无关紧要的 It makes no difference …毫无区别…… It is of little consequence that…无关紧要 2、宾语从句 宾语从句是英语中用来充当宾语的句子。其语序是陈述句语序。引导宾语从句的词有who, whom, whose, what, which, that, how, when, where, why, whether, if等 She asked me whether I had returned the books to the library，and I admitted that I hadn't. 她问我是否把书还给图书馆了，我承认我还没有还。 Our teacher always tell us to believe in what we do and who we are if we want to succeed. 我们的老师总是告诉我们，如果我们想成功的话，就要相信我们所做的事情以及我们自己。 ·只用whether的六种情况： （1）在带to的动词不定式前 He doesn’t know whether to go to the cinema or to watch TV at home. （2）在介词后 I’m thinking of whether we should go fishing. （3）直接与or not连用时 I don’t know whether or not they will come to help us. （4）在动词discuss后面的宾语从句中
