Hidden in the wet forest, two Japanese soldiers watch American soldiers roling out wire(电线) from one battle patrol(巡逻队) to the next. The wire wil carry telephone signals, alowing different units to talk to each other and to the base command(指挥部). In the distance, gunfire sounds and bombs explode(爆炸). When the Americans are gone, the Japanese soldiers come out quietly and put headphones onto the newly laid line to hear something. Both speak English.
